What Is Mission Work?

Jesus told us to go into all the world and share the Good News. Many of us do this right here at home, but others have heard the call of the Lord to give up the comforts of home and serve Him in remote parts of the world.
We support them through our prayers and financial support. To meet the challenges of providing various moneys, First Baptist Church Combes participates in cooperative giving, faith promise and special offerings throughout the year.
Why Is It Important?

We take seriously the command of Christ in Acts 1:8 "...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
We try to maintain a cross-cultural outreach into local, state, national and foreign missions - our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the world.
What About The Internet?

The Internet has been flooded with a lot of evil and un-edifying material. We are convinced that God is able to use modern technology to reach a lost world.We are equally convinced that we as Christians are called to be "salt" in the world; it is wonderful to see that this new medium can reach the whole world. Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit use these websites to change lives. May He open your heart and ears to hear the Good News! |
